Product Review: Make Up Forever HD Foundation

On the list of my new years resolutions I've decided to organize my home. Step One. Tackle my make up collection.
I have more make up than one human being needs, not that I am complaining. Make up is one of my many passions. My lift me up hobby.
In order for me to organize my make up collection I need to purge. Purge. Purge. Purge. So for me to know what to keep and what to throw out I've decided to test, trial and review all my products. Starting with foundation.
So here is an introduction to a new post segment on my blog. A segment where I will review every single make up product I own. At the end of it all I will create a video on my youtube channel discussing what I am keeping and what I am throwing.

Today we are starting off with a popular, hyped and all talked about foundation. The Make Up Forever HD Foundation.

According to the internet, this foundation is introduced as a "new generation" of foundations. Creating a flawless complexion for the cameras and for the naked eye, yet all the while giving you a natural complexion. Let's see how this goes, yes?

PACKAGING

  • Sleek and clean packaging
  • In a plastic bottle; looks like glass but don't be fooled... it's plastic.
  • Comes with a pump
  • Contains 30mls of product

TRIAL
 BEFORE APPLICATION
Freshly washed and moisturized face. Notice my honker of a zit on my cheek? Yup, don't worry, I saw it too.

AFTER ONE LAYER OF APPLICATION
(no primers or powders were applied)

What I had noticed:
  • Instantly covered all my redness with one thin layer
  • Slightly covered my huge zit on my cheek
  • No streak marks
  • Hid my dark circles under my eyes
  • Doesn't feel heavy or uncomfortable on the skin
  • There's a slight shine after initial application but settles within a few minutes with a slight "dewy" finish.

AFTER APPLYING THE REST OF MY MAKE UP.
I had set the left side of my face with a mattifying translucent powder, the right side remains bare.

THREE HOURS AFTER INITIAL APPLICATION
 What I Had Noticed:
  • Slight shine along the right side of my face (four head and chin), left side remained matte.
  • Everything remains concealed (my skin looks perfect!)
  • No discoloration of the foundation at all.
  • Still feels comfortable on the skin
  • No creasing or settling into my fine lines.

 SEVEN HOURS AFTER INITIAL APPLICATION
 What I Had Noticed:
  • My face had become equally oily on both sides of my face
  • Creasing had become evident on the sides of my nostrils.
  • Everything still remained concealed (my pimple is still hidden!)

FINAL THOUGHTS
  • Love the packaging - lightweight and sleek. Love the pump.
  • Even though I became oily after 7 hours of total use, the foundation made my skin look flawless, I recommend setting and retouching throughout the day with a powder for my oily skinned girls.
  • For someone having a bad skin day, my skin looked fabulous!
  • Felt comfortable on the skin and did not feel heavy at all.
  • Definitely recommend this foundation for special occasions, would be an excellent purchase for any make up artist wanting to find a foundation for their kit.
  • For the price, it is a great investment.

I hope you all found this review helpful. Thanks for popping by. Don't forget to visit again for more foundation reviews this month! Cheers and have a great day!
