Vanessa Travels : Camping in Kiama
This year has certainly been a year of domestic travelling when it comes to my family. We made it as a goal in our bucket list to explore as many secrets and enchantments Australia has to offer.
On this particular trip we camped in Kiama over a weekend and I popped my DSLR out and was able to capture a few moments. I obviously was able to vlog the entire weekend, but that won't be up for a few days, this is just a sneak peak of what to expect.
On our trip we explored other cultures (other than the Australian one... haha). Making a pitstop at Nan Tien Temple - the largest buddhist temple in the Southern Hemisphere. A beautiful, tranquil and peaceful place - where Jacaranda trees are at an abundance, ornament sculptures are a norm and greenery is rich and at it's finest.
Soak up the sound of nothing but breeze, the wind blowing the leaves along the grass and birds chirping along with the sunlight.
Snorkelling the beautiful blue waters of Shellharbour. Have the waters to yourself at this secret and unpopulated area located at Bushrangers Bay Aquatic Reserve. Untouched coral, blue waters and magnificent scenery. My mother and kids just marvelled and explored all the rock pools the place had to offer. Rock pools are never rare in the South of Sydney.
Why I love camping at Big4 resorts? Because it's so kid friendly. Kids enjoying some plaster painting fun in the morning before our day of exploring and shenanigans begin. Got to keep the kids creative even when on the road.
Two things you HAVE to do when visiting Kiama. Dip your feet in their sand and visit one of the worlds largest blow holes. Marvel at the gush of water being pushed out into the atmosphere and hear all the "Oo's" and "Aahs" of other visitors. Yes, I was "Ooing" and "Aahing" just like every other person who was in complete wonderment at the nature in front of them.
Lastly, if you're up for a little terrain and adventure, visit Yal Wal Reserve for some 4X4 off road driving. This track probably tops our list as the most terrain and rocky paths we've ever encountered. Fun, excitement and scary all in one free ride.
Now, there were plenty more adventures we had experienced... but I guess ya'll have to subscribe to my channel to see that! CLICK HERE.
Thanks once again for visiting my blog and I hope all you explorers found this blog post helpful.
