DIY Succulent Mason Jars
Hi readers!
So... for the past few weeks I've felt like I was in a major negative rut, day in and day out I felt like my space, my home and my life was full of negativity. It's a gross feeling and I hate it whenever I get into that sort've mind space. So, what did my cards call for when I was feeling out of sorts and like my sanctuary was just not working for me? I cleanse the air in my home, get DIYing and change things up a bit. I make my home and my space mine again.
So as I was looking around on Pinterest (yet again) for some inspiration I came across mason jar succulents. I thought Hey! I've got a shit tonne of mason jars in my pantry, a front yard full of pebbles and a pot of succulents that need propagating in my alfresco. So I experimented, brainstormed and came up with this. This DIY was so easy that my kids joined in and made them for me while I was busy taking photos of the whole method.
One thing's for sure... I need to buy more succulents! Ha! Well I hope you all enjoyed this DIY blog post and I'll see you all in the next one.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Mason jars - Can be bought from any major craft stores, if you're in Australia I buy mine from The Reject Shop
- Soil
- Pebbles or stones
- Succulents
STEP ONE
Start by placing your pebbles in the mason jar. This acts as a drain for the soil when it comes to watering. The kids filled about 1/4 of the mason jar.
STEP TWO
Fill the rest of the mason jar with the soil, this is also when I like to wet the soil to make it easier when it comes to planting the succulent. Using a finger, dig a small hole in the middle and plant your succulent.
