Just Spray Paint It. My Go-To Decor Solution.

Just spray paint it. Simple. That's my go-to solution for outdated decor pieces I either own or have found for a buck from my recent trip to the op-shop. Giving something old a new coat of paint can transform it into something outstanding that fits into tomorrow's trend. Nearly everything in my home has had some sort've transformation done to it, unfortunately not all have a before and after picture but here is a couple that I could find on my hard-drive and on the internet.

One. The Outdated Candle Holder

This ceramic candle holder was revamped after I got the pair for $3, our kitchen has been it's home for the last two years. I have a DIY tutorial on how to spray paint shiny ceramic HERE

Two. Changing Colour Themes

This has been my most recent spray painting DIY. This side table used to be located in our master bedroom, it had been collecting dust and taking valuable floor space. The copper-gold didn't suit any other room in our house so I started to consider on just scrapping it for the bins until I tested myself to think outside the box. After a couple of coats of matte black spray paint it now sits in a little reading nook of our loungeroom.

Three. Painting it.

This was a past DIY I had done on my old blog CLICK HERE. It was where I transformed an old photo frame into a chalk board. This DIY wasn't achieved by spray painting, I had used a paint brush instead, but if you replace it with a simple coat of spray paint and a little sandpaper, you can achieve the same rustic look.

Now I'm going to show you guys a couple of awesome ideas I found on pinterest for revamping something old, into something new.

Four. The $3 Office Chair

Five. A New Buffet

With a new coat of spray paint and revamped hardware this is such a budget friendly idea! Image and DIY is sourced from PAINTEDBYKAYLAPAYNE

Six. Ugly to Brand Spanking New.

This is just another example of how something you would never pick up being transformed into something you need to have in your home. DIY and image is sourced from ATHOMEWITHTHEBARKERS

Seven. A Cool Idea

How awesome and creative is this? Using material to give a lace finish to furniture. Image and DIY is sourced from UNIQUELYCHICMOSAICS

So these are just a few that I found and did, but there's a shit load you can find on pinterest, google... or even in your imagination. Have I convinced you to recycle and load up on some spray paint? I hope you all enjoyed today's blog post. Don't forget to think outside the box and get creative!
