Product Review: Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

Today we will be reviewing the cult Too Faced Mascara "Better Than Sex". 

 Product Claims via The Too Faced Website :

"... all your desires for lush, incredibly intense lashes will be fulfilled. One application of our collagen-fueled formula and touch of our specially shaped brush will leave you begging for more. One coat and lashes are full, defined and stretched to unbelievable lengths. Two coats and they’re reaching unbelievable heights of drama. Three coats and you’ll believe in magic." 

Well damn, with a description like that, it has to be fantastic right? Well let's put it to the test. 



Packaging

  • Adorable metal tube 
  • Large hour glass shaped wand 
  • Standard mascara sized packaging

TRIAL



 What I noticed?
  • After the 2nd coat my lashes had dramatically increased in volume and length. 
  • Kept the curl of my lashes the entire day
  • Gave a dramatic black effect to my lashes - definitely not the mascara if you are going for a natural look. 
  • Does become clumpy on the 3rd coat
  • Definitely not waterproof, did find some smudging along my lower lash line (I have very watery eyes).
  • The wand was a bit large for me to get the smaller lashes towards the inner corners, took a bit of maneuvering but I got there.  

Final thoughts?
Better than sex? YES! Bigger lashes are better than anything honey... lol. 

Like seriously, how impressive was the "Before" and "Three Coats" shots? Let's have a closer look shall we?

In all honesty, I never thought my lashes could look so dramatic with just mascara (I usually relied on false lashes). I am gifted with short, straight and sparse lashes, and this mascara did it's wonders. It kept it's curl and stayed dramatic the entire day.  

 Note: Like I mentioned earlier, it did start looking a bit clumpy by the 3rd coat, but getting a clean wand brush and running it through your lashes will help if it bothers you that much.

So final verdict? I think the pictures itself tells it all... I have found a new favourite!

For the past few weeks I've been trying to expand my knowledge and learn some Macrame art, what were the results? Peacefulness.
